Parking will be VERY LIMITED at the 2023 La Plata County Fair
La Plata County Fair attendees are encouraged to use Public Transportation, a Shuttle Service or Park & Ride options because parking will be extremely limited in and around the La Plata County Fairgrounds.
Due to several factors, there will be almost no available parking at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. And due to construction projects, parking will also be unavailable at Durango High School and Miller Middle School.
2023 La Plata County Fair attendees are encouraged to consider the following options:
- Park downtown and take the free Durango Transit Trolley. The Transit Trolley runs every 20 minutes from the Transit Center to the High School until 8pm.
- Park at the Durango Public Library or at the old Mercy Hospital (after hours) and walk the River Trail to the Fairgrounds.
- Park & Ride with a shuttle service from the Durango Public Library or Needham Elementary School on Friday, August 11 from 6 -10 pm and Saturday, August 12 from 10am – 6pm.
- Carpooling with other families/friends is strongly encouraged regardless of where you choose to park.
